Portrait of Roy & Elvia Sprague

Roy and Elvia Sprague: A Lifetime of Service

Dr. Roy Sprague and his wife Elvia have served with Northwest Independent Church Extension (NICE) since 1960. For sixty-four years and counting they have been model Christian servants throughout that entire time. The Sprague ministry resume is very impressive. Roy pastored two churches in the 1950s and then served 10 years as staff evangelists for NICE during the 1960s. Then in 1970, he was appointed as the director of NICE and he led that agency for the next 30 years.

In total, Roy has been involved in planting and establishing 104 churches over the last sixty-plus years, and he remains active in ministry even today. In light of this amazing track record of ministry, the Church Planting Commission has decided that this new church planting grant be named in their honor.
